Søberg Audio Design
Søberg Audio Design is a small recording studio, owned and ran by Stian Søberg. Søberg focuses on “acoustic” music and admits that the company’s goal is to bring life back into recordings with the use of “real” instruments as opposed to using sampled audio and digital interpretations.
“Aiming for a goal to record full bands in a live setting, with high quality equipment and high quality instruments to bring some ‘honesty’ back into music.”
Coming from humble beginnings, Søberg worked hard to attain the best quality equipment to work with, now after acquiring the dream setup; Søberg Audio Design is now open to the public.
Søberg tells us that before he made over the studio he was working solely with his own band, Apterous Perigee, but is now currently working in full production with singer/songwriter The Good Old Days.
Naming my favourite brands is not easy, but I guess I’ll just keep it simple and just say Shure and Ibanez, as these are the manufacturers I couldn’t do without. Lynx also scores very high, as I’ve never heard anything as clean as their converters.
