Peavey Artist Focus | Lynyrd Skynyrd

Lynyrd & Peavey

Lynyrd Skynyrd are possibly most well known for popularising the Southern Rock Genre during the ‘70s. Both that, and for ‘Sweet Home Alabama’ of course.
The band originally formed in Jacksonville, Florida, and although some members have been lost, and some gained over the years, Lynyrd Skynyrd is still one of the best Rock bands that have ever been.

The band’s founding guitarist Gary Rossington teamed up with amp experts at Peaveyto create his own signature Amplifier edition. The Peavey Gary Rossington Penta Guitar Amp Head is a 140-Watt beast that is actually five amps in one. Rossington has employed a range of Peavey amplifiers over the years to obtain his signature sound, including a pair of original Peavey Mace amps that have been in constant service since the mid-1970s.

Key Features:

- Four matched EL34 tubes
- Four 12AX7 tubes fitted into ceramic tube sockets
- 100% analog design - five individual amplifiers on one amp channel.
- Pentatone control - select among five preamp settings that reconfigure the amplifier’s components into five completely different amps with their own EQ voicings and gain structures.
