Korg KAOSS Pad Quad

The first-generation touchpad-based effect control Kaoss Pad exploded onto the DJ/music scene 12 years ago and since then, the overwhelming acceptance and popularity of the X-Y touchpad is evident in many Korg products - Kaoss Pad effects, Kaoscillator Series, padKONTROL and nanoPAD controllers - that are now standards in the Korg scene. How have Korg made sure that the Kaoss Pad Quad stands out from the crowd? With unimaginable expression and dazzling, illuminated touchpad control, there are a multitude of reasons for you to own a Kaoss Quad Pad
The name ‘Quad’ was chosen for one simple reason - you can use up to four different effects simultaneously and sync them to the beat of your music so you can freely transform your song in realtime. Each of the four effect modules - Looper; Modulation; Filter; and Delay/Reverb contrains five options (plus a null, or off position), for a total of 1,295 combinations! And it gets better, Korg have made sure all effects can be choden directly from the front panel which is a more intuitive and pyshical process than on previous Kaoss Pad models. With the Pad Quad’s Freeze button which memorizes the position at which you’re touching the touch pad, you can have hands-free effects as the effect will be held even after you’ve released your finger.
What audio sources can be processed? Any of them - MP3 player, mixing board, instrument and even vocals through the Quad’s mic input. Korg assure us that any other effect units are left in the dust with the expressive performance potential that arises from the Kaoss Pad Quad.
If you’re an intense user you can engage in higher technical performances, if you’re a casual user you have the pleasure of DJ-like fun - either way your audience will be captivated with the interest and depth emanating from this instrument.
