International Guitar Festival 2010

igf

A Dolphin Music favourite and must attend, The International Guitar Festival is now in its 22nd year based in the Wirral. The festival celebrates all things guitar, presenting concerts, workshops and related events throughout November. This year’s festival features the usual eclectic mix of genres and artists that highlight the importance of the guitar within every form of music.

It is the longest running annual guitar festival and still one of the largest of its kind in the world. It has a great international following from both fans and players. Over the years a phenomenal 700 guitarists have performed at the festival. The guitarists who have brought their music to the festival include Chuck Berry, John Williams, Nils Lofgren, Jan Ackerman, Albert Lee, James Burton, Mick Taylor, Lucky Ranku, Woody Mann and festival patron, Martin Taylor - Only another 690 to go!
