What is BPM
BPM is Europe’s biggest event dedicated to Dj’ing, electronic music and club culture. The event is on from Saturday 2nd October - Monday 4th October 2010 at the NEC arena in Birmingham. DJ’s, producers, performers, venue owners/managers, record label representatives, students and those who love DJ’ing will all be there - as well as some of the Dolphin team!
Manufacturers will be showcasing their latest technology and give you the chance to be one of the first to get your hands on their new gear, as well as live DJ sets, panel sessions and live Q&A’s from industry experts.
This year sees a very, very exciting line-up, yet again! You can see the full BPM schedule here, but here’s a few of our personal Dolphin faves..
- DJ Mag Tech Awards Live Final - running on Saturday and Sunday, your votes determine which three of the short-listed products will be put through their paces in each of the main eight categories. The final will see BPM manufacturers showing off their kit in an attempt to imipress the judges in just a few minutes.
- Promo Exchange - The BPM Promo Exchange provides an opporunity for fresh talent to gain exposure. You all know how tough it is to get noticed in the music business these days, at the Promo Exchange you can drop off your demo CD where industry visitors will be invited to pick up a couple of demos away with them to provide valuable feedback.
- Panels - This year there will be a total of three sessions, two on Sunday and one n Monday. Each panel will cover a difference specific topic, but all three will provide an unmissable opportunity to learn from a variety of music industry professionals.
We’ll be sure to have blog posts next week reporting on BPM in case you’re missing out! Keep checking our Twitter for all our posts…
